Changelog
What's new
Every version of CookNoBook, and what changed in it. Newest first.
Recipes from your favourite websites
- A Source menu under every recipe: keep CookNoBook's version, or get the same dish from sites like RecipeTin Eats, Jamie Oliver, Hebbar's Kitchen and Sally's Baking Addiction.
- The menu only lists websites that actually have the dish you searched (a little tomato spins while it checks 🍅).
- Paste any recipe link into the search bar and it turns into a grid, with a link back to the original.
- Recipes from the CookNoBook library now open first, so favourites load instantly.
- Recipes you've already opened still work while you wait out the search cooldown.
- The Samples menu is gone. First-time visitors still get egg fried rice to play with.
- This page! Plus the version number in the footer.
About & coffee
- A buy-me-a-coffee page, with UPI, and exactly where your coffee goes.
- On phones, the settings bar is one row you can swipe through.
- The About page got a photo of a good friend enjoying his culinary masterpiece.
- Have feedback? There's now a link to DM me on Instagram.
Cards & sharing
- Cards view: the recipe one step at a time, like flashcards.
- Share a recipe with copy link, AirDrop, Messages and more, with shorter links.
- Share to your Instagram Story: "I learnt how to make … from CookNoBook!" (phones and tablets).
- The About page shows all four views with a few steps for each.
- A short breather after lots of searches in a row, to keep things fair for everyone.
- Behind the scenes: security hardening.
First launch

- Settings for US or metric, °F or °C, light or dark, an easy-read font and text size.
- An estimated cooking time on every recipe.
- Edit any recipe to make it yours.
- Every recipe has its own page you can find on Google.
